Xiaomi presents Mijia power station: competition for Jackery and Bluetti?

Solar generators and so-called power stations are trendy. The products from the manufacturers Jackery and Bluetti are particularly popular. But now established brands are also pushing into the market – such as Xiaomi. With the Mijia Powerstation 1000, the Chinese electronics manufacturer is now also presenting a corresponding product.

According to the manufacturer, the power station offers a maximum output power of 1,600 watts and can charge up to 13 devices in parallel thanks to the corresponding number of connections. Xiaomi specifies the capacity of the battery as 280,500 milliampere hours. This is sufficient, for example, to supply an electric frying pan with an output of 1 KW with electricity for up to one hour.

More of a camping accessory than an emergency generator

The Mijia Powerstation 1000 is therefore not an emergency power generator in the event of a blackout. Thanks to its compact dimensions, however, it is suitable for use on the campsite. It can also be recharged there using a separately available solar panel.

German Xiaomi fans are looking into the tube for the time being. Because the Mijia Powerstation is initially only available in China. According to Gizmochina, it costs the equivalent of just under 623 euros. However, unlike other Xiaomi products, an import makes no sense due to the lack of European connections.
