Xiaomi has just launched a brand new television in its Redmi range in China: the Xiaomi Redmi MAX 100 with more than generous dimensions. As its name suggests, the newborn from the Chinese brand is a beautiful baby with a diagonal of 100 inches!

An impressive TV

The LCD panel of this Xiaomi Redmi MAX 100 covers 98.8% of its surface and offers 4K definition and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Xiaomi also announces a maximum brightness of 700 nits, 94% coverage of the DCI-P3 space with a delta E of only 2, which promises excellent color fidelity. It also supports HDR 10, HLG, Dolby Vision, but also IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Atmos certifications with a 30W speaker system.

This Xiaomi Redmi MAX 100 also offers an HDMI 2.1 port with ALLM, and a response time of 4 ms for players who want to enjoy their games with as little latency as possible. Added to this are two HDMI 2.0 ports, which is a bit sparse for a TV at this price. To this we can mention the presence of AMD’s FreeSync technology.

Inside, we find a SoC whose processor is a quad-core chip based on an ARM Cortex-A73 architecture with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage capacity. It also features Wi-Fi 6 for an optimal wireless connection.

A launch in China

The model presented by Xiaomi in China runs on MIUITV, Xiaomi’s operating system for televisions. It also includes long-range microphones for using the Xiao AI home voice assistant. If ever the Xiaomi Redmi MAX 100 were to be released in Europe, we could expect the presence of Google TV instead of this in-house OS, as was the case on previous models, like the Xiaomi Mi TV Q1 75.

This TV is currently only announced in China and will be available for pre-order from April 6 there at a price of 19,999 yuan (equivalent to approximately 2850 euros in gross conversion). No launch is for the moment of news in our regions.
