The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 11S 5G complete Xiaomi’s entry-level. The former mostly adds 120W charging to the classic Pro version, while the Note 11S 5G changes quite a few points from the 11S 4G’s spec sheet.
We thought of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 series, but that was without counting the arrival of two new challengers: here is Xiaomi announcing the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 11S 5G to complete its entry-level. Here’s how to tell them apart from the pack.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, 120W charging at the heart
We start with the one who wants to be “the Ultimate Redmi Note”, the Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G. It broadly takes up the technical data sheet of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, with a slight modification on the battery and charging side.
We go from a fairly large battery of 5000 mAh to 4500 mAh. We hope that the phone will be slightly thinner than its friend. But its biggest argument is of course the addition of a 120W charge, capable, according to Xiaomi, of going from 0 to 100% in 15 minutes. Let’s add that the charger is well supplied in the box.

For the rest, we find the 6.67-inch Amoled screen in Full HD + and 120 Hz, the 5G MediaTek Dimensity 920 chip and the three 108 megapixel, 8 megapixel and 2 megapixel photo sensors (wide angle, ultra wide angle and macro ). The screen is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and the IP 53 certification is still there. The phone also comes with MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11.
In terms of connectivity, we switch to Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, which is always interesting for the life of the device.
Three versions of the smartphone will be marketed. Only prices in dollars are unfortunately available for the time being. These allow at least to get an idea of the price in euros. Here they are :
- 6GB + 128GB = $369;
- 8GB + 128GB = $399;
- 8GB + 256GB = $449.
Redmi Note 11S 5G
You would think that the Redmi Note 11S 5G would take over the technical data sheet of the 11S by adding 5G to it, but that would be too simple.
He swaps the Helio G96 for a Mediatek 810, equipped with 5G, a chip which has the advantage of being slightly more powerful and with better engraving finesse (6 nm against 12 nm). The rest of the connectivity is still limited to Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, with the presence of an NFC chip.
But the name change also means a larger screen, with a 6.6-inch panel compared to 6.47 inches, still in LCD, and still with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Quite logically, the Note 11S 5G displays more generous measurements: 163.56 mm in height against 159.87, 8.75 mm thick against 8.09 on the 11S 4G and a weight from 179 grams to 195 g.
Another notable change: the photo configuration also changes somewhat. The Redmi Note 11S 5G displays a main module of 50 megapixels against 108 megapixels in the 11S 4G.
For the rest, the phone retains 33W charging and its 500mAh battery, as well as MIUI 13 support based on Android 11 right out of the box.
Three versions of the Redmi Note 11S 5G will be offered. We only know the prices in dollars at the moment:
- 4GB + 64GB = $249;
- 4GB + 128GB = $279;
- 6GB + 128GB = $299.
