Is it still worth buying in 2022?

The Redmi Note 9 offers a 6.53-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, and the MediaTek chip Helio G85 works inside. A 5,020 mAh battery supplies the cell phone with power. A main camera with 48 megapixels and an 8 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera are available for photo and video recordings. The phone also has a 2-megapixel macro camera and a depth sensor. Useful recordings should be possible, at least during the day.

With the Redmi Note 10 and the Redmi Note 11, two successors have already been released for the mobile phone. Still, it offers above-average features for this price point when compared to other $100 phones. There is also an NFC chip on board, so you can make contactless payments with your cell phone. Thus, apart from mobile gaming, the Redmi Note 9 is up to all everyday tasks.

A sticking point is the software support. The phone is currently running Android 11 and will not receive any further version updates. In addition, Xiaomi will stop distributing security updates in June 2023.
