Xiaomi Smart Cooking: the robot cooker suddenly disappears from the catalog

After months and months of teasing round its robot cooker, Xiaomi had temporarily made its Smart Cooking available for sale on its French online store. Sold for €999 – a reasonable price given the attractive technical data sheet of the device – the Chinese manufacturer’s robot cooker will have appeared online as discreetly as briefly. Strangely, Smart Cooking is out of the catalog, which seems to point to an unfortunate leak from Xiaomi. Between the numerous appearances of the robot at press events organized by the French subsidiary of Xiaomi and this sudden and furtive appearance, everything suggests that Smart Cooking will be released soon – and officially – in our regions.

An astonishing price positioning

If we could expect Xiaomi to drastically lower the price of its robot cooker, the reality is different. Smart Cooking will arrive on the market at a price fairly consistent with the average price of a food processor, around €1,000. Always sold at a lower price than Vorwerk’s Thermomix TM6, it shares the same segment as the essential models on the market (Moulinex, Magimix or Kenwood), while we were more expecting it to challenge Lidl and its Monsieur Cuisine Smart.

We remain alert on the subject and will not fail to notify you when the product is available again.
