Energy security currently plays a major role for many people. While solar generators used to be used more for camping, many people are currently buying such a device to have electricity in an emergency and to be able to generate it with solar modules independently of the power grid. With the Mijia Outdoor Power 1000 Pro, Xiaomi is entering this business area as a well-known manufacturer and has presented a first model. This is characterized by a large display and high performance (Source: Weibo).

The Mijia Outdoor Power 1000 Pro has a capacity of 1,022 Wh and can supply devices with an output of up to 1,800 watts. This means that certain kitchen appliances such as kettles or similar can also be used if they do not consume too much power. The Xiaomi solar generator can be charged in just 1.5 hours using a conventional socket or with a collapsible solar panel that only produces 100 watts. The loading time is significantly higher. The solar module is compact and can be folded up.

You can charge all common smartphones, tablets and laptops with one Power of 100 watts via the USB-C ports. There are also four classic sockets on the back, which are intended for the Chinese market. Should the solar generator come to Europe, Schuko sockets would be found there.

Price and availability of the Xiaomi Mijia Outdoor Power 1000 Pro

In China, the sale of the Xiaomi Mijia Outdoor Power 1000 Pro starts in a campaign for 5,999 yuan (about 870 euros). The price later rises to 6,499 yuan (about 943 euros). This makes the solar generator from Xiaomi a bit cheaper than comparable models such as the Jackery solar generator 1000 Pro, which you can already buy in Germany (check out Jackery). The 100-watt solar module costs 1,099 yuan (about 159 euros). It is not known whether the solar generator from Xiaomi will find its way to Germany.
