Xiaomi is taking its time with the distribution of Android 13. So far, only a few cell phones have been updated to the new Google OS. Now the update should reach two more devices.

While Samsung has already distributed Android 13 to numerous Galaxy smartphones, Xiaomi has only received the update with the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Now the sister models Xiaomi 12 and 12 Lite are apparently being added.
As the XiaomiUI fan blog reports here and here, the Chinese manufacturer is currently distributing the update for the global versions of the cell phones. Accordingly, it should also reach the first devices in this country. However, the update will initially only be distributed to so-called “Mi Pilots”. These are selected users who serve as a kind of last test instance before the update is distributed to all users.
The firmware updates have the version numbers V13.2.1.0.TLIMIXM (Xiaomi 12 Lite) and V13.2.6.0.TLCEUXM (Xiaomi 12). The ROMs are already based on Android 13, but the well-known MIUI 13 interface from Xiaomi serves as the interface. An update to the newer version MIUI 14 will probably not be available until 2023. In addition to the innovations of Android 13, the updates also include the security patch for November.
