Xiaomi is distributing its new HyperOS user interface for the first cell phones – also in Europe. We’ll tell you which models are scheduled for an update as of January 2024.

It was one of the big surprises at the presentation of the Xiaomi 14. The Chinese manufacturer is retiring its well-known MIUI user interface and replacing it with a fresh system called HyperOS. This is based on Android 14 and will therefore also be available as an update on older Xiaomi cell phones – also in Germany.
The beginning has already been made. Since the turn of the year, the Xiaomi 13T Pro has received the update to HyperOS in Europe. With this, Xiaomi is fulfilling a promise that the company has made on its HyperOS channel on X (formerly Twitter) already given in December. Accordingly, the company wants to update the following models to HyperOS by March 2024:

More updates in the works?
It remains to be seen whether other models will receive an update to HyperOS. According to the fan blog XiaomiUI, there should at least already be test versions for the Xiaomi 12T Pro.
Xiaomi devices that will be released in 2024 will also be delivered directly with HyperOS – Xiaomi has already confirmed this for the upcoming Poco X6 and X6 Pro.
