Xiaomi has a new bestseller. In just 10 minutes, the Civi 4 Pro significantly exceeded the sales figures of its predecessor. There’s a reason for that.

Xiaomi has released the latest model in the popular Civi series in China and the sales figures of the Civi 4 Pro dwarf its predecessors. According to the Chinese manufacturer, the new model has sold three times as many times within 10 minutes as its predecessor did on the entire first day of sales.
According to Gizmochina, the price-performance ratio is likely to be responsible for its success. At 2,999 yuan (around 382 euros), the price has increased by 500 yuan compared to its predecessor, but the features have received a massive upgrade.
Civi 4 Pro significantly upgraded
There is no longer a mid-range chip under the hood of the phone, but the new Qualcomm high-end Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which was unveiled just a few days ago. For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor costs 3,999 yuan (around 510 euros) in China.
The camera has also received an upgrade. Not only does the main camera no longer have a resolution of 50 megapixels, but also the new telephoto camera, which enables twice the optical magnification. The predecessor didn’t offer a telephoto camera at all, just a 2-megapixel macro camera. Xiaomi has also increased the resolution of the ultra-wide-angle sensor from 8 to 12 megapixels.
Is the Civi 4 Pro coming to Germany?
A 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hertz, a 4,700 milliamp hour battery that can be charged with up to 67 watts, and up to 512 gigabytes of memory round off the features.
It is unclear whether the Civi 4 Pro will also come to Germany. According to Gizmochina, so far there are only rumors of a market launch in India under the name “Xiaomi 14 Civi”. In Germany, Xiaomi released a Civi model for the first time last year: The Civi 2 appeared in this country as the Xiaomi 13 Lite.
