Xiaomi is said to be working on another subsidiary brand. Unlike the other sub-brands, however, this should do completely without MIUI.

With Poco, Redmi and Black Shark, Xiaomi has several subsidiary brands on offer. They are all linked by the in-house Android variant MIUI, which links the cell phones in a large “software cosmos”. Now another brand without this interface is to be planned.

As the magazine The Mobile Indian reports, Xiaomi is said to be working on a new subsidiary brand aimed at “tech enthusiasts”. They should be equipped with unadulterated Android and chips from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 700 series. That suggests mid-range cell phones.

Xiaomi has already tried to sell pure Android phones with the A series as part of the Android One program. She was abandoned. It remains to be seen whether the manufacturer is actually planning another subsidiary brand and whether it will also appear in this country.
