Xiaomi’s future electric SUV is revealed in video with a design inspired by Ferrari

Xiaomi continues to expand its range of electric vehicles with a new model, the MX11. This SUV, recently seen on video, promises to compete with the Tesla Model Y in China thanks to a bold design and undoubtedly remarkable performance.

The electric vehicle market continues to grow, particularly in China, where demand for sports crossovers is booming. Xiaomiwell known for its smartphones, recently entered the automotive industry with the SU7, an electric sedan that met with immense success with 120,000 pre-orders in just 36 hours. Now, the brand is preparing to unveil a new model: the MX11, an SUV with almost copied design on prestigious models such as the Ferrari Purosangue.

This SUVstill camouflaged but already seen in several test videos, attracts a lot of attention with its sporty and aggressive lines. Xiaomi is banking on this vehicle to compete with the Tesla Model Yone of the best-selling models in the world in 2023. The MX11 could thus become a serious competitor by combining high-level performance and luxurious design. These road tests suggest that its official release is fast approaching with a presentation expected by the end of 2024.

Xiaomi’s sporty SUV is ready to challenge Tesla

The MX11 takes elements of the SU7 sedan, with details reminiscent of models from Porsche and McLaren, while being distinguished by its design inspired by the Ferrari Purosangue. With a long hoodof the prominent wheel arches and a coupe roof, this SUV is both elegant and efficient. Xiaomi is banking on these sporty proportions to capture the attention of drivers looking for a vehicle that is as practical as it is dynamic.

Although technical details have not yet been revealed, it is likely that the MX11 shares the same 800-volt platform as the SU7, providing autonomy going up to about 800 km and impressive performance. The most powerful version of the electric sedan develops 664 horsepower and accelerates by 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds. If this new model inherits such characteristics, it could well appeal to performance enthusiasts, especially those who are hesitating between a Tesla SUV and a new alternative.
