What is this new connected bracelet from Xiaomi?
This new connected bracelet is not to be confused with Xiaomi’s Smart Band. The Redmi Smart Band is a much more affordable connected bracelet model. The second iteration, currently on sale, has just been released. It has a 1.47 inch TFT LCD screen and a resolution of 172 × 320 pixels. While it doesn’t match higher-end AMOLED screens, it offers a similar brightness of 450 nits maximum.
The Redmi Smart Band 2 turns on with a flick of the wrist. The information on the dial is perfectly legible. Even if the rectangular screen looks small, know that it is still 10.5% larger than that of the Xiaomi Smart Band 7. The ultra-thin 9.99mm case weighs only 14.9 g and has good finishes, despite a design that does not revolutionize the world of connected bracelets.
