Already in Netflix’s “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”, Kitty Song Covey, Lara Jean’s smart-ass little sister, conquered the hearts of viewers. Now she’s getting her own spin-off series called “XO, Kitty” and takes us on her adventures in Korea.
A first trailer for the new series reveals that the teenage girl wants to follow in her Korean mother’s footsteps and is applying to the same international school where her mother spent a semester. And coincidentally, the boy she fell in love with in the third “To All the Boys” movie also goes to the same school.
Can Kitty get closer to her boyfriend Dae on her adventure abroad, or is the young girl expecting a new love? She quickly has to learn that her own love life is often more complicated than getting involved in her sister’s relationship problems.
In addition to Anna Cathcart as Kitty, we also see John Corbett, Sarayu Rao, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Anthony Keyvan, Peter Thurnwald, Yunjin Kim, Michael K. Lee, Jocelyn Sheldo and Regan Aliyah in the new series. Jenny Han, author of the To All the Boys novel series, will be co-showrunner and executive producer, alongside Sascha Rothchild.
“XO, Kitty” will be released on Netflix on May 18, 2023.
