Blockchain software company Perrsyst has launched an Ethereum-compatible sidechain on XRP’s developer network. That comes from one Message by RippleX. This so-called Devnet is separate from the main Ripple network and is often used for testing or troubleshooting purposes.
“Sidechains make it easy for developers to customize the chain for their use cases”, explained Ripple CTO David Schwartz previously on Twitter. Developers would no longer have to “choose between XRPL or EVM-compatible blockchains, but could use the best of both worlds,” it says.
It remains to be seen whether the communities will come together after a long dispute. In the past there have always been disagreements between David Schwartz and Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin. More about this here.
