XXL cheese recall at Aldi, Lidl and Edeka: Consumption can lead to serious injuries

Lactalis Deutschland GmbH warns of metallic foreign bodies in seven goat cheese products produced by Société Fromagère de Riblaire (France). According to a statement on Saturday, the products affected by the recall are “Milbona goat’s soft cheese”, “Chêne d’Argent goat’s cheese roll”, “Roi de Trèfle Saint Maure goat’s roll”, “Good & Cheap French soft goat’s cheese”, “Cabriolait French soft cheese made from pasteurized goat’s milk “, “Président Saint Maure Soft Cheese Roll” and “Président Goat Cheese 1kg”. The products all have different sell-by dates.

According to the announcement, the products have been on the market throughout Germany since the end of August, including at Lidl, Pierre Meyer, Edeka and Aldi Süd. The sale of the products has been stopped. Consumers who have bought one of the products are asked not to consume it and to dispose of the food themselves or to bring it back to the store. The purchase price will be refunded, even without a receipt.
