Yaël Braun-Pivet mother of a large family: how many children does she have?

After an express stint as Minister of Overseas Territories, Yaël Braun-Pivet has just succeeded Richard Ferrand as President of the National Assembly. On this occasion, Closer reveals how many children MP LREM has given birth to.

This is a great first since the establishment of the Fifth Republic in 1958. A woman was elected President of the National Assembly. While Richard Ferrand did not manage to be re-elected MP during the last legislative elections, he was therefore forced to give up his place at the head of Parliament. Not surprisingly, it is the candidate of the presidential majority, Yaël Braun-Pivet, who was appointed President of the National Assembly, following the parliamentary vote. As a reminder, the big winner had given up the post of Minister of Overseas to apply for this function.

After having campaigned for many years within the Socialist Party, Yaël Braun-Pivet was one of the first to join LREM, the political party created by Emmanuel Macron in 2016. Former minister of François Hollande, the latter then had the ambition to succeed him as President of the Republic. Winning bet for the companion of Brigitte Macronwho was elected head of state in 2017, before being re-elected for a second 5-year term at the Élysée in 2022. For his part, Yaël Braun-Pivet was elected MP in the 5th constituency of Yvelines in 2017before also being re-elected in 2022. During her first term in the National Assembly, she was President of the Commission for Constitutional Laws, Legislation and the General Administration of the Republic.

Yaël Braun-Pivet lived for many years abroad with her family

On the private side, Yaël Braun-Pivet is the wife of Vianney Pivet, one of the executives of the famous company L’Oréal. Together, the couple gave birth to 5 children. While her husband was transferred in 2003 to Tapei, the capital of Taiwan, Yaël Braun-Pivet decided to leave everything and follow him with their first two children. Just two years later, the family of the new President of the National Assembly moved to Tokyo in Japan. The couple will stay 5 years in Japanese lands. A period of time during which Yaël Braun-Pivet will give birth to two other children. The couple and their offspring will finally resettle in France in 2012.
