The operators of Yahoo Mail have commented on the ongoing disruption to the freemailer. The solution is there, but some users still have to be patient.
After there were major problems with Yahoo Mail on Tuesday, over 2,000 users reported to us on Wednesday that there were still problems with the free email service. It’s still mainly the apps for Android and iOS that don’t really work.
The operators of the service are now also reporting that the problem primarily occurs in the Yahoo Mail app. Yahoo has spoken out about the news service X. According to their own statement, they have already released an update for the apps:
As you can see from the statement, it can take up to 24 hours for the update to reach all users. Accordingly, there may still be restrictions on the apps. Everything should be fixed by evening at the latest. According to the operators, it can also help if you uninstall the apps from your cell phone and reinstall them again. Clearing the app cache can also be the saving solution.
Solution: Switch to the web client
The Yahoo Mail web client apparently continues to work relatively smoothly. Yesterday we reported to you that we were able to access our Yahoo Mail account without any problems. Today we tried it again and we actually have no problems accessing our emails today. So if the apps don’t work yet, the web version is still an adequate alternative.
