Six. This is the number of electric bicycles and mopeds that Yamaha intends to launch on the market this year.

On the program: three electric bikes, two mopeds and an S-pedelec (a more powerful electric bike, classified as a moped within the EU).

Know this: the information given by Yamaha is not very abundant. Regarding the Yamaha B01, which is therefore the S-pedelec of this new range, it will be developed by the Italian company Fantic. Its production should start in the coming year.

The two scooters will be named E01 and Neo’s respectively (yes, with an apostrophe). The E01 had already been presented for the first time a few years ago, at the Tokyo Motor Show. Its electrical power is equivalent to that of a 125 cc. It must first be launched as a shared vehicle in a major city in Europe (remains to be seen which) before the release of a consumer model, within 2 to 3 years.

The Neo’s is more modest and closer to a 50cc. Its release is imminent (it’s a matter of a few weeks), and yet it does not come with a technical sheet either. The only known data: it will have a removable battery.

As for the three electric bikes, they must meet various uses, from mountain biking to urban biking through a gravel bike. We thus find the All Mountain below. All three models are due to go on sale later this year in Europe.

Note that the predominant color in these photos, called “Aqua”, must become the emblematic color of the brand’s future electric vehicles.

Indeed, Yamaha does not intend to stop at these few models. Eric de Seynes, president of Yamaha Motor Europe, said the brand intends to unveil ” many new models over the next 12 months.
