Yann Barthès ready to stop Daily and leave TV? He responds straightforwardly

Yann Barthès has agreed to discuss his professional future at the microphone of RTL. And the host of Daily makes very surprising revelations about the program and his daily life.

During an interview broadcast on RTL, Yann Barthès spoke about his rich professional future. But does he see himself in command of Daily in ten years ? To this question, the facilitator’s answer is straightforward: “No (…) I have no departure date but in ten years no”. The reasons ? “It’s exhausting. There is Daily but there was Le Petit Journal and Le Grand Journal… Every day in the same studio. I’ve been going to the same place in Paris every day since I was 24.”. Thus, if he is no longer at the head of Dailyswould he be tempted to leave the world of television? “Yes and living without TV, a big yes”.

Worse still, Yann Barthès would have liked his notoriety not to be so great: “If there was a way to do this job without being known, I would do it. If I had known, I might have thought a little more. It’s huge and it’s too much. It’s too heavy. People are absolutely not unpleasant, that’s not what I’m saying, but it’s very heavy, you have to think about it all the time and after a while, Maybe it made me a little agoraphobic. I may have withdrawn, because it scares me”he noted.

Yann Barthès: “Except there is also a society that has changed and there are people who are ready to punch you in the face”

It must be said that sometimes Yann Barthes is not spared from criticism : “There is still one thing. During Le Petit Journal, it was very benevolent. Even Daily, people are 99% benevolent. Except that there is also a society that has changed and there are people who are ready to punch you in the face. Especially lately, especially since last year, it’s a little more complicated”he explained, before continuing: “But it happens, you see how our society has been for some time, so there’s a one in ten chance or bad luck of running into someone who thinks you’re a sellout.”
