The "Love Island" stars Yasin and Samira have become parents. In an interview, Yasin now reports on the difficult birth.

On Monday night, the son of "Love Island" couple Yasin Cilingir (29) and Samira Berkane (23) saw the light of day. Malik-Kerim was born at 2.35 am in Hamburg, reports the new father Cilingir in an interview with the "Bild" newspaper. He also looks back on the dramatic hours in the hospital.

The little one was born in less than two hours. "Those were pure moments of happiness when we were allowed to hold him in our arms. He was very healthy, weighed 3150 grams, but was relatively tall at 53 centimeters," says Cilingir. But then Berkane started bleeding, which then had to be operated on. "I lay with my baby on my chest in the next room and cried like a small child. I don't wish anyone these fears, they were the worst moments of my life. And I couldn't do anything!"

Birth as a "personal Christmas miracle"

However, the doctors were able to stabilize the young mother. She then woke up at 7 a.m., reports Cilingir. "Our personal Christmas miracle! And from now on I can only say: Nobody has as much strength as a woman! My respect really knows no bounds. Such an experience welds you together forever."

The couple met in 2019 on the RTLzwei dating show "Love Island". It moved in together and announced the engagement in January 2020. The announcement of pregnancy followed in July of the same year.
