All ratings of the premiere tour 2022

Who is leading the battle for the yellow jersey in the inaugural women’s Tour de France? Who is the best sprinter? Who is the best at getting over the mountains and wearing the polka dot jersey to the finish of the tour, Planche des Belles Filles, which young rider is particularly strong – and who shows the best team performance?

Yellow jersey

In 2022 the premiere of the Tour de France Femmes will take place. The legendary Tour of France for women will be held for the first time. The bike tour leads over eight stages from the Champs Élysées in Paris to the mountain resort of Planche des Belles Filles, where the tour – unlike the men’s – ends with a mountain finish. Lorena Wiebes from the Netherlands made her mark in the annals of cycling as the first woman to wear the yellow jersey.

Green jersey

The top scorer also wears the green jersey at the Tour de France Femmes. Since this rating is usually won by sprint experts because of the flat stages, which has a higher rating, it is commonly called a sprint rating. Since the first stage of the premiere tour was a sprint finish, Lorena Wiebes secured the green jersey in addition to the yellow jersey – which she lost to her compatriot Marianne Vos after the second stage.

Polka Dot Jersey

As with the men, the best female climber also wears a dotted jersey. At the start of the tour, only three mountain points were awarded – two of which the Dutch Femke Markus secured. As the first woman to wear the mountain jersey, she does not yet have a place on the podium, but she does have a place in the history books.

White jersey

The best young rider in the Tour de France Femmes also rides all in white. Here, too, the premiere bearer came from the Netherlands with Maike van der Duin.

team score

There is also a ranking for the strongest team on the tour. At half time, Team SD Worx was ahead – but only very slightly ahead of Canyon / SRAM Racing.
