Available in France on Salto, the “Yellowstone” series, with Kevin Costner and Kelly Reilly, has just been officially renewed for a season 5, to the delight of fans of this neo-western which is a hit in the United States.
Good news for fans of Yellowstone: the neo-western worn by Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, and Kelly Reilly will unsurprisingly be entitled to a season 5 which has just been made official by Paramount Network.
Launched in 2018 in front of just under 3 million viewers in the United States, the series created by Taylor Sheridan (Sicario) and John Linson (Sons of Anarchy) has become a real phenomenon in recent months.
According to Deadline, the first episode of season 4 has indeed gathered 14 million Americans in total in consolidated audience, while the finale, offered on January 2 on Paramount Network, reached 15 million viewers.
Season 5 of Yellowstone, set to begin filming in May, will see Jennifer Landon and Kathryn Kelly, who play Teeter and Emily respectively, be promoted to regulars after being introduced in seasons 3 and 4 as guest stars.
The two actresses thus join the main cast of Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham and Gil Birmingham, who will all stack up for these new episodes.
Yellowstone recounts the adventures of the Dutton family, who owns the largest ranch in the United States in Montana, near Yellowstone National Park. Led by the patriarch John, camped by Costner, the Dutton clan fights against politicians and real estate developers in order to avoid encroachment on their lands.
In France, the first two seasons of the series are available exclusively on Salto.
Building on its success, Yellowstone has already given birth to a spin-off, entitled 1883, which tells how the Dutton family arrived on their land at the end of the 19th century and is broadcast every Sunday evening on Paramount +.
