Will lead actor Kevin Costner appear in the “Yellowstone” finale? The star himself has now hinted at his return.

The second half of the final “Yellowstone” season is scheduled to appear on the US cable channel Paramount Network in November of this year. Originally expected to be main cast Kevin Costner (69) will not return for the final episodes of the extremely successful neo-Western series. But now the two-time Oscar winner himself has brought this possibility into play.

Kevin Costner: “I would like to do it”

In conversation with “ETOnline” Costner explained on the sidelines of the CinemaCon trade show in Las Vegas: “I would like to do it, but we weren’t able to… I thought I would be seven [Staffeln] do, but at the moment we are at five. I hope it works out, but they have a lot of other shows going on. Maybe it will. Maybe the series will come back to me. If that’s the case and I feel really comfortable doing it, I’d like to do it.”

Now the final episodes are scheduled to premiere on the Paramount Network in November. But Kevin Costner was no longer scheduled for this.

“Horizon: An American Saga” opens in cinemas this summer

The star himself declared as part of his divorce from now ex-wife Christine Baumgartner (50) that he would no longer work for “Yellowstone” in 2023. would be under contract. The reason for this is said to have been disagreements when coordinating the shooting schedules the US magazine “Deadline” already reported in February last year.

Costner has recently been busy producing his two-part western film “Horizon: An American Saga.” Here the 69-year-old plays the main role, directs, produces and is responsible for the script. The first part of the western epic will be released in US cinemas on June 28th, with part two following in mid-August.

“Yellowstone” is currently the most successful series on linear US television. In the show, Costner portrays family patriarch John Dutton, who runs the largest ranch in the US state of Montana and also plays a key role in the politics of his home state.
