Yes, the next AirPods will take your body temperature (and not only)

It’s no secret that Apple is actively preparing the launch of its next AirPods Pro.

This new generation should arrive by 2025, with some significant improvements, especially on the health side.

New AirPods Pro 3, heading for health!

The giant Apple has been placing connected health at the heart of its new iPhone and Apple Watch for a few years now, and it should also equip the next AirPods Pro. According Bloombergfuture headphones signed Apple could be able to assess the level of hearing of the user.

In addition, the new AirPods Pro would also have temperature sensors in order to take regular readings. The data could be compiled with those taken by the latest Apple Watch. Users should be able to accurately measure their body temperature directly from their ear canal.

According to journalist Mark Gurman, these new headphones should hit the market by 2025, three years after the AirPods 2.

Game over for the Lightning port

But that’s not all ! Indeed, still according to Bloombergbeyond offering some new products in the connected health segment, Apple should launch “new” AirPods Pro as soon as the school year begins, which could say goodbye to the Lightning port.

Like other Apple devices, the AirPods Pro (through their charging case) would in turn switch to the USB-C era. This new version of the AirPods Pro could be launched as early as September to coincide with the marketing of the new iPhone 15, which should also swap the Lightning port for a USB-C port.

In the near future, Apple should standardize its ecosystem, by massively adopting this USB-C connection, to the detriment of the historic Lightning.
