The shooting of the new miniseries “Yesterday We Were Children” with Ulrich Tukur is currently taking place.

In the vicinity of Munich, the shooting for the new, six-part ZDF miniseries “Yesterday we were still children” has started, as the broadcaster announced. The production is a mixture of a thriller and a family series. Ulrich Tukur (64) will be seen in one of the roles.

In addition to Tukur, Torben Liebrecht (43), Karoline Eichhorn (55), Julia Beautx (22), Maria Simon (45), Julius Nitschkoff (26), Damian Hardung (22), Milena Tscharntke (25), Joachim Nimtz ( 64), Vico Magno, Rieke Seja and Nele Richter to the cast of the miniseries. A press release describes a story of family secrets “leading to an emotional catastrophe in the present”.

What is “Yesterday We Were Children” about?

The Klettmans, who live in a chic suburb of Munich, have no financial problems. Peter Klettmann (Liebrecht) is a lawyer, his wife Anna (Simon) looks after the children. But a world collapses for the family on Anna’s 44th birthday. Peter kills his wife in the affect and comes into custody. His motive is puzzling and more and more events from the lives of parents and grandparents that have not been talked about are coming to light.

Nina Wolfrum is the director. The shooting is expected to continue until November 3rd. There is no date for the broadcast yet.
