Yet another new psychological thriller in mini-series format for Netflix? Yes, but with a Marvel star!

Tessa Thompson will be on Netflix for her next series, we reveal The Hollywood ReporterThe Thor: Love And Thunder star will star in and produce His & Hers, a miniseries described as a psychological thriller and based on the novel Him & Me by British author Alice Feeney. The six-episode series will mark Thompson’s return to the small screen since Westworld ended in 2022, in which she played the main antagonist.

What is His & Hers about?

Tessa Thompson will play the role of Anna, a woman who, according to the series’ tagline, “lives in haunting solitude, distancing himself from his friends and his career as a journalist“But when she hears of a murder in Dahlonega, the sleepy town where she grew up, Anna comes back to life. She takes on the case and searches for answers.

Inspector Jack Harper is strangely suspicious of her involvement and pursues her as part of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story: hence the title His & Hers, which means that someone is always lying.

Jessica Chastain to produce

William Oldroyd (Lady Macbeth), Bill Dubuque (Ozark) and Dee Johnson (Fellow Travelers) are writing the series – which will bring the novel’s British setting to Atlanta. William Oldroyd is also set to direct the first episode and Dee Johnson will serve as showrunner.

Published at the height of the pandemic in May (UK) and July (US) 2020, Him & Me Alice Feeney’s The Last of Us was quickly spotted by Freckle Films, the production company of Jessica Chastain, Campo and Fifth Season for a series adaptation.
