Barely announced, Mortal Kombat 1 is already preparing to open its doors to the most eager players. Indeed, NetherRealm has announced the upcoming launch of a “stress test” to check the solidity of its servers before the release of the title. The date is not yet known, but it is already possible to register.
A few days ago, the video game world was somewhat shaken by a shocking announcement from NetherRealm, the studio behind Mortal Kombat: the legendary license will be making a comeback on September 19. Highly anticipated by fans of the saga, this new opus will also arrive in the hands of some of them much faster than expected. Indeed, in a recent FAQ, the studio announced that a stress test will soon take place.
The latter is not to be confused with the public beta of the title, which will take place next August. As NetherRealm explains, “The goal is to deliberately stress our online infrastructure and identify potential issues before the game launches.” Translation: it is a question of verifying that the servers will hold the road on the day of the release.
