Access to Bing’s AI, which for several months was the privilege of a limited number of lucky people, is now officially open to everyone!

Microsoft’s browser, for many years confined to semi-anonymity, is experiencing a new life since it benefits from ChatGPT technology. And its new user records should be further improved with the announcement made by the company founded by Bill Gates!

No more waiting list

What is the current search engine? Obviously, since February and the integration of AI into its functions, Bing has been the object of interest for all curious people. But if it was necessary until then, and despite certain largesse from Microsoft, to register on a waiting list to hope to be able to use the chatbot, it is now over!

The American giant has just announced that AI is now accessible to everyone, with a small registration on Bing with the Edge browser, or on the Bing mobile application. And that’s good news, because unlike ChatGPT, whose free version is powered by GPT-3.5, Bing’s AI runs on GPT-4!

An AI that goes into high gear

And that’s not the only advantage that Microsoft wants to provide to its users. Indeed, several new features have been added for the occasion. Thus, whereas previously a completed discussion vanished, it is now possible, like ChatGPT, to have a history of conversations. And in the future, the chatbot might even build on those previous chats to offer you more personal answers.

It will also be possible to obtain – through commands in the chatbot – images or videos in response to a search. And even, with the update of Bing Image Creator, which relies on Dall-E’s AI, to directly generate images with prompts that can be produced in a hundred languages. Finally, Microsoft is working on the famous multimodal option, which allows you to search by mixing text and image. The latter exists in GPT-4, but is not yet available to the public.
