You grew up with this series in the 90s: all 800 episodes are available for streaming!


The Crunchyroll platform announces the arrival of this emblematic series from the 90s which brought joy to viewers of Club Dorothée.

It’s an absolutely essential series that is arriving on streaming. Broadcast during the 90s during the heyday of Club Dorothée, Dragon Ball Z has since become the object of a true cult following among fans of Japanese animation! Direct sequel to the Dragon Ball anime, DBZ is the adaptation of Akira Toriyama’s manga (available in 42 volumes from Glénat).

One of the most essential anime, Dragon Ball follows the adventures of Goku, a little boy with a monkey tail and extraordinary strength. The latter sets off with Bulma, a spoiled genius inventor, in the quest for the seven crystal balls that summon a giant magical dragon.

While Dragon Ball followed the adventures of Goku as a child, its sequel Dragon Ball Z features him as an adult in a darker and more violent series. Two sequels were released (Dragon Ball GT, a non-canon series, then Dragon Ball Super, an official derivative) as well as a modernized and shortened version (Dragon Ball Kai).

More than 800 episodes under the clock!

Nostalgic fans will very soon be able to dive back into this cult series since the complete five Dragon Ball series will be available on the specialized platform Crunchyroll from February 9. The five anime (totaling more than 800 episodes) will be accessible in French version, but also in Japanese version with subtitles.

Note that a brand new anime entitled Dragon Ball DAIMA will be scheduled by the end of the year, although no French broadcaster has yet been announced! Around twenty feature films have also seen the light of day, including the latest Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (released on our screens in October 2022).
