The start-up CareSix presented at CES a smart dog collar, for which it was awarded and which monitors its state of health and is intended for both the general public and veterinarians.
CareSix, a South Korean company, received one of the CES 2023 Innovation Awards for the Cotons Sense 1, a collar that, used properly, could well increase the lifespan of your four-legged pet. The object, carried around the living room by an adorable Beagle named Coton, has multiple sensors that monitor and track the dog’s biosignals (temperature, heart rate, etc.).
Extensive monitoring of your dog’s health, with an AI boost
The signals detected by the collar are analyzed using an algorithm and artificial intelligence, to detect any anomalies and thus identify the warning signs of a potential disease, our doggies remaining companions who can be very fragile.
If it works over time and on a number of dogs, that would be pretty revolutionary. The collar is currently the only product of the brand to be marketed, first to veterinarians and then to the general public. But others (like a tracker, at the prototype stage for the moment) could follow soon.
