You knew Lilo and Stitch: here is the Chinese version with another heroine!

Lilo is not the only one to have accompanied Stitch: discover another little girl who teamed up with the alien in the Chinese version of the series derived from the film, a version which also reveals a rather huge secret about Stitch…

Did you know that Stitch had more than one sidekick? And yes, in China, it is not Lilo who accompanies the little blue alien but Ai Ling – and moreover in Japan, it is yet another heroine, Yuna Kamihara, who follows him on his crazy adventures!

Stitch & Ai is a television series produced in English and the third in the franchise, after that based on the film, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, and the Japanese anime Stitch!. If this Chinese version was produced with the help of American animators, it takes place in China, in Huangshan in the province of Anhui, and presents, in its 13 episodes, a young girl named Wang Ai Ling, at the slot for Lilo Pelekai (on the Hawaii side) and Yuna Kamihara (on the Japan side), as the titular human companion of the beloved little alien.

The series first aired in China with a Mandarin Chinese dub in 2017, while its original English version aired in 2018 on Disney Channel in Southeast Asia, before seeing the light of day in the United States. United via DisneyNow a little later.

But be careful, in this Chinese version, a major revelation is made about Stitch: the little creature has also been programmed to transform into a Kaiju capable of destroying cities but also star systems. We let you discover some images of her transformation in the post below:

I just found out that Lilo & Stitch had a Chinese spinoff series called Stitch & Ai in which it is revealed that Stitch has additional programming that causes him to transform into a Kaiju capable of destroying not only cities, but systems as well stellar…

The live action is getting ready…

On the cinema side, as you know, a live action film is about to expand the franchise! And we already know who will play Lilo: little Maia Kealoha (to discover in the post below) is also from Hawaii, and this is her very first role. She will star alongside Zach Galifianakis in the film which will be directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp. The character of Stitch should, for his part, be produced in computer-generated images.

While waiting to discover this live action version, the original film and its derivative films and series can be found on Disney+.
