Isn't it always the same? The year has just started and the first of us rushed from doctor to doctor to attend our annual check-up appointments and we are sitting at home and still don't really know where we should go.

Of course, we have certain appointments such as gynecologists, dentists and the like on our list! But what are we still entitled to, what do we possibly forget and what is really important?

1. Ophthalmologist

Did you know that we should go to the ophthalmologist regularly? Even without acute problems, it is worth looking into the eyes from time to time, it could be that it is not the tiredness that makes us see worse, but we should really think about glasses in the meantime.

2. Dermatologist

When the sun shines again and the temperatures rise, we like to lie in the sun and soak up some color and vitamin D. As much as we like to sunbathe, however, we should have a dermatologist and our moles checked every two years. So that we can enjoy the sun again in the following year with a clear conscience (and of course with cream).

3. Colon cancer screening

We love food and enjoy every meal to the full, so why not also take care of our intestines? After all, it has a lot more impact on our well-being than we allow it to be. From the age of 50 we are entitled to have this valuable organ checked and to be on the safe side. After that it can taste much better!

4. Mammography

It is clear that we go to the gynecologist once a year! But from the age of 50, we are also entitled to a more detailed examination of the breast, the mammography. Every two years we can have our breasts x-rayed so that we can continue to enjoy them.

5. General health check-up

Did you know that from the age of 35 we are entitled to a health check-up every three years? Why shouldn't we take advantage of this and let ourselves be put through its paces. And while we're there, we can also have our hormone levels tested, as well as our iron and vitamin D levels. In the best case scenario, we will get a compliment from our doctor on how fit we are.

6. Orthopedist

After almost 11 months of working from home, we hear how our back complains and is no longer as fit as it used to be! The perfect time to make an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon and have a look at how we might be able to help our back.
