Today is released the last episode of the first season of The Last of Us, and we bet that even the big fans of the license passed a side of a small cameo in this last one. Indeed, in one of the last scenes, we can see Laura Bailey, who is none other than the actress who plays Abby in the second game.
That’s it, The Last of Us on HBO, it’s over. Well, for now, because the second season has already been confirmede by the American chain. Nevertheless, we will have to be patient for this one to land on our screens. No doubt that neophytes of the saga will have a hard time waiting, given the way this last episode ends.
The players of the first opus, of course, were not surprised by this bitter end. A slight detail, however, has certainly passed under their noses. Indeed, this final episode contains such a discreet cameo that most viewers probably didn’t notice. Still, it’s a huge nod to what’s in store for fans of the series. Explanations.
The Last of Us quietly teases its second season with this cameo
In one of the last scenes of the episode, during the hospital sequence, a certain nurse may have seemed familiar to you. And for good reason: it is neither more nor less than Laura Baileya name well known to fans of The Last of Us: Part II, since it is the actress who plays Abby. Without going into spoilers too much, let’s just say that Abby plays a major role in this second installment. Laura Bailey also won the Game Award for best performance in 2020 for this role.

Enough to teaser the events of season 2? Maybe. If HBO has not yet communicated on the scenario of the latter, it does not seem too unrealistic to think that it will adapt the events of the second game, as the first season did for the original game. Impossible for the moment to say that Laura Bailey will take over the role of Abby, but her appearance in this last episode remains a nice nod to fans of the saga. It only remains to wait (with difficulty) for the next burst of episodes.
