It was quite a twist that viewers did not expect which took place at the end of the evening this Tuesday, April 23, 2024 during the launch of the new season of Secret Story! If early fans of the cult TF1 show were waiting for its big return after seven years of absence, it was almost spoiled when La Voix’s Dominique Duforest announced that he intended to retire and pass the torch to a new Voice: “ I stop! Because first of all, the show ended for seven years and in the meantime, I had a life. I still did eleven seasons. (…) I couldn’t see myself leaving like that through the back door. I wanted to pass the baton to La Voix which will follow so that it too is dubbed by the viewers and by the candidates» he explains on camera.

A little reluctant, TF1 viewers were not convinced by Dominique Duforest’s replacement. Feminine and much softer, the serious timbre of The Original Voice of the program was directly missed by aficionados ofSecret Story.
