You will need a NASA PC to run Alan Wake 2 in good conditions

Alan Wake 2 is coming out in a few days and the system requirements for the PC version have just been revealed. If the requirements are high to activate ray-tracing, Remedy nevertheless wanted to make it relatively light for players who do not have a state-of-the-art bike.

It’s only a matter of days before we see Alan Wake 2 land on our PCs and consoles! If you are a computer gamer, you are certainly wondering whether the horror title will run well on your machine. Good news, since Remedy has just revealed the required configurations. As usual, we have a table taking into account all the desired settings. To enjoy it in perfect conditions, that is to say in 4K/60 FPS with ray-tracing activated and graphics set to max, you will need a NASA PC:

  • GeForce RTX 4080
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • DLSS in performance mode
  • Ryzen 7 3700X or equivalent Intel processor
  • 90 GB free on your SSD

On the other hand, if you choose to play with ray-tracing enabled but graphics in medium and 1080p/30 FPS, the requirements will logically be lower:

  • GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800 XT
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • DLSS in quality mode
  • Ryzen 7 3700X or equivalent Intel processor
  • 90 GB free on your SSD

Alan Wake 2 is greedy, but remains accessible

Don’t panic, you won’t necessarily have to have the latest PC to run the second part of the adventures of Alan Wake, but there’s no question of having a wheelbarrow either. For example, here are the requirements to play at 1080p/30 FPS with graphics on low. The minimum of the minimum:

  • GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6600
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • DLSS/FSR2 in quality mode
  • Intel i5-7600K or equivalent AMD processor
  • 90 GB free on your SSD

Finally, if you want to play in so-called “average” conditions, that is to say in 1440p/30FPS with medium graphics, here is the configuration you will need:

  • GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • DLSS/FSR2 in balanced mode
  • Ryzen 7 3700X or equivalent Intel processor
  • 90 GB free on your SSD

Brief, Alan Wake 2 should run on your machine unless you have an antique. Note that Remedy’s game will be compatible with DLSS 3.5 if you have a compatible Nvidia card. After Cyberpunk 2077, this is the second game to support the new version of this technology.

Alan Wake 2 will be available on PC and consoles next October 27only in dematerialized form.
