For the occasion, the singer gave an interview to our colleagues from Télé-Loisirs, and spoke about his sexual orientation, which has been questioned for a long time. At 79 years old, the man who has just revealed himself more in his autobiography, is not afraid to put into words what he feels, and what he is.
Rumors of homosexuality have long hovered over the singer, because he never hid the fact that he liked men. Many thus put it in a box, and did not consider other eventualities. These memoirs were Dave’s way of saying everything, of talking about many subjects. Of his incredible journey but also more intimate things. Dave “I always said I was bisexual”
In the interview given to our colleagues from Télé-Loisirs, Dave said, bluntly: “You’d have to be stupid not to be! I always said I was bisexual. It’s a question of encounters, of circumstances”, did he declare. Indeed, the singer had several meetings which changed a lot of things. He married Patrick Loiseau in 1971. In the interview, Dave imagined: “Patrick’s sisters are absolutely charming and I adore them. I could have been seduced. I could have lived with a woman, while having affairs with men. And the opposite”he delivered.
And in the 1980s, Dave fell in love with a woman : host Olivia Adriaco: “Olivia and I met many years ago to do a photo novel. A mutual crush. At the time, we were already living a beautiful love story each on our own. We so we left it there”, he said in 2004, in the columns of France Dimanche.
