The flagship range of Galaxy S24 is expected for 2024. The technical sheet of these Samsung smartphones reveals that it will offer improvements such as titanium edges, LTPO screens for better brightness and Quad HD definition for the S24+ model. The standard S24 model is expected to feature the Exynos processor, while the S24 Ultra could use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

In terms of prices, Galaxy S24 prices in Europe are announced with a slight drop compared to the previous year’s Galaxy S23 models, varying from €899 for the 128GB S24 model to €1,809 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra of 1 TB. This measured pricing policy follows the example of Apple with its iPhone 15, making the S24 range attractive and competitive.

But even more, these models are ready to introduce live translations of calls using artificial intelligence. It is of course this last function which will soon be extended to other smartphone brands.

Real-time call translation expands to other brands

Artificial intelligence “Live Translate Call”, although launched on the Galaxy S24, will also be accessible on other phone brands, thereby greatly extending its impact and usefulness. Powered by Galaxy AI and Samsung’s Gauss generative AI model, this technology will offer live audio and text translations, making calls with speakers of other languages as simple as turning on subtitles. Who will benefit from it? According to various rumors, here are the models that could benefit from the technology in question:

  • iPhones
  • Xiaomi smartphones
  • Motorola smartphones.

This advancement means that users of various smartphones will be able to benefit from real-time call translation, regardless of the brand of their device. This opening demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to improving global communication, making technology more accessible and universal. While the brand has announced that Galaxy AI will arrive early next year, it remains to be seen how and when exactly this feature will be made available on other smartphones.
