The bodies of two University of Illinois students have been discovered in Lake Michigan. The body of the young woman was found on May 2 and that of her friend on May 22, 2022.
The bodies of Daniel Sotelo and his girlfriend, Natally Brookson, were discovered in Lake Michigan twenty days apart. Natally’s body a 22-year-old psychology student at the University of Illinois, Chicago, was found on May 2, 2022. On May 22, Daniel’s corpsea chemistry student at the same university, was also found in the same lake. The student couple were last seen on April 30 and has been missing since.
Natally Brookson worked with blind people at Friedman Place, according to Paris Match. It was when he quit his job thatshe was last seen. Daniel Sotelo, her boyfriend was dropped off by his roommate near campus before his disappearance. The pair were reported missing after their friends couldn’t reach them by phonespecifies the Paris Match. Neither the cause nor the circumstances of the death of these two American students have not been communicated so far.

On a fundraising page dedicated to Daniel, we can also read: “Danny was a first generation american and was the first of his family to pursue higher education. He was due to graduate with a master’s degree in organic chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) this month“.
