This Friday, October 28, the magician Gérard Majax was invited to host a special magic evening with Éric Antoine, Valentine Losseau, Viktor Vincent and Zack & Stan. The show was rich in emotions, between magic tricks, small scares to celebrate Halloween. Like when the Zack and Stan duo transformed a candy into a cockroach in Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine’s hand, which scared her to death, going so far as to make her leave the table under the hilarious gaze of her columnists.
But that’s not what shocked the presenter of C to You the most. During a discussion, Mohamed Bouhafsi asked Gérard Majax if the temptation to become a pickpocket existed when doing this job. And the least we can say is that his response created… a great deal of unease. “In the metro, I tried but there are young Romanians and others who were stronger than me because they were in gangs”, blurted out the magician, causing enormous discomfort on the board.

Which was not at all to the taste of Eric Antoine, who cut him off directly by saying: “No, Gérard! If it’s humor, it’s missed”, implying that he went way too far. But to bring down the tension which was more and more palpable, Eric Antoine still added: “We are already crooks”. If she stayed out of the discussion so as not to make matters worse, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine was not leading the way. Returning to this scene at the end of the show, viewers wanted to mark the occasion: “New trick by Gérard Majax: cool the atmosphere in one sentence”. Suffice to say that he may not be invited back anytime soon.
