In the final episode of “Young Sheldon,” which will be released on CBS on May 18, 2023, Sheldon and Mary make their way to Germany. The talented boy is to take part in a research program at the University of Heidelberg over the summer. But then, thanks to a tornado, things turn out differently and Mary has to return home.

The short dialogue indicates that in “Young Sheldon” we are now coming to very important life events, which may also indicate the imminent end of the series. If the “Big Bang Theory” prequel continues at the same pace as before, Sheldon could reach the age of 14 in season 7. That would mean that we are in 1994.

Two important life events should happen this year, through which the series could continue to tie in with the events of “Big Bang”: Sheldon enters CalTech University to earn his PhD and George Senior passes away. The series makers may want to process these events in season 7 and it could even come to the point that the end of the spin-off is reached.
