Whether you are a former employee, civil servant or agricultural worker, your retirement pension is paid at the end of the month or at the beginning of the month depending on the fund.

According to the latest data from the Department of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (Dress, “Retired people and retirement”, 2022 edition), some 716,000 people had claimed their pension rights at the end of 2020 ( +200,000 compared to 2019), bringing the total number of French retirees to 16.9 million people.

The table below summarizes the 2023 payment schedule for the main pension funds, which are paid monthly: Retirement Insurance (CNAV), the Agirc-Arrco scheme, the pension scheme for civil servants, that for civil servants territorial and hospital workers (CNRACL), that of agricultural workers (MSA), and finally the Alsace-Moselle pension and occupational health insurance fund (Carsat).

These dates correspond to payment, to which must be added one to three days of processing by banking establishments.

The pension is paid at the end of the month or at the beginning of the month for the previous month depending on the fund. When the amount is low, the payment can take place annually or in one go in the form of a capital, specifies the Administration.
