In association with Fantic, Audi offers its fans a new electric mountain bike.
Be careful, however, you will have to agree to break your piggy bank (and that of your loved ones) to afford this Audi Sport e-tron Superbike.
A new electric mountain bike from Audi
Already largely committed to the electromobility market, Audi is also proposing a circular economy project for its HS vehicles, in order to transform the old into new, and rework materials such as steel, aluminum, or even plastic. Today, the German manufacturer continues its electric quest, but on two wheels this time.
Indeed, in partnership with the Italian brand Fantic, Audi has developed this “Audi Sport e-tron Superbike”, which is directly inspired by the Audi RS Q e-tron piloted at the beginning of the year by a certain Carlos Sainz during of the Dakar Rally.
At Audi, when you love, you don’t count
You have to know, this Audi Sport e-tron Superbike is not really an original creation. In reality, the German manufacturer was based on an existing Fantic model (the Integra XMF 1.7), which was remodeled in Audi sauce, including the now traditional colors of the German brand, not to mention a large e-logo. tron.
We benefit here from tires (Vittoria) 29 inches at the front and 27.5 inches at the rear, which have an Öhlins fork and suspension, disc brakes at the front and rear, without forget a saddle from Sella Italia.
Under the hood, here we find a Brose S-Mag engine wedged at the bottom bracket, while the frame houses a Fantic 720 Wh lithium-ion battery. Audi promises a total power of 250W and 90 Nm of torque, with 4 modes available to the user, including a Sport mode and a Boost mode.
On the price side, if the Integra XMF already posted a price of €6,000, this model in the colors of the Audi e-tron will require you to pay no less than €8,900. Not expensive enough, son ?
