The ranking of your songs of the year 2022 is finally available on Spotify. You will be able to judge the musical tastes of your friends, and they will be able to judge yours.
There is one thing that I look forward to even more than Christmas at the end of the year: my Spotify retrospective. If you’re like me, then good news awaits you, because the 2022 edition of Spotify Wrapped is finally available since November 30th.
Like every year, the music streaming app allows you to take stock of your discoveries, your favorite songs, your favorite artists, and the number of minutes spent listening to music. But, the Spotify Wrapped is above all an opportunity to assume your musical tastes. Now is the time to admit you’ve listened 4,567 times Sardines by Patrick Sébastien in 2022. Spotify never lies.
How do I see my Spotify 2022 retrospective?
If you are using Spotify on your computer, unfortunately the retrospective is not available. The latter can only be consulted from a smartphone. But, don’t worry, there’s nothing really complicated, because Spotify always puts Wrapped well ahead of them.
Here’s the procedure to follow :
- Open your Spotify app;
- Scroll down until you see the “Spotify Wrapped” part;
- Click on the “Read” part.
Pleasant change to note this year: the Spotify Wrapped is much more beautiful than that of 2021. We love the little astronomy theme, with the planets and stars in the background. It’s much nicer than last year’s weird shapes (which looked like… intestines).
Once you’ve watched your retrospective, you’re treated to something new this year: a message from some of the artists you’ve listened to the most. Messages are available only on the app, and not all artists have participated (if your favorite artist is dead, you will unfortunately not receive a message from beyond the grave). You can access it by clicking on the ” Messages from the artists “, in the Spotify Wrapped section, to the right of the playlist” Your favorite titles of 2022 “.
The 2022 Spotify Wrapped has prepared a small selection of your most listened to songs and artists. You’ll also find out the number of minutes you’ve spent listening to music, the number of new music genres you’ve discovered, and the number of songs. You will also be able to find out if you are in the top 0.5% of people who have listened to an artist the most. History doesn’t say what happens if you’re Patrick Sébastien’s world top 1 – maybe you’ll get a dedication?
