Your Switch assessment in 2023: how long have you played Zelda?

After PlayStation and Xbox, it’s Nintendo’s turn to offer its retrospective of the year 2023. You’ll find out how long you played The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

It’s time to take stock. Do you want to know the pieces of music that made your year 2023? Go to Deezer, Spotify or Apple Music, depending on your subscription. Do you have a PlayStation? Meet here. Do you have an Xbox? This is rather where we should go. Do you have a Switch? Nintendo has just opened the portal which allows access to its retrospective.

We can say that the year 2023 was very busy for Nintendo, with the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Following The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. On Switch, there was also Super Mario Bros. Wonder, a particularly successful new adventure for the plumber. In short, console owners didn’t really have time to get bored. Want to know how much time you spent on Link’s latest epic? Are you sure ?

I have exceeded 50 hours of play on ZeldaAnd you ?

To access its Nintendo retrospective, there’s nothing rocket science: click on this link, you enter your credentials and let the magic happen. Note that you may have received an email from the manufacturer to inform you that your statistics are available.

The Nintendo Switch retrospective is made up of several sections which provide information on:

  • Your first game of the year;
  • Your number of games played;
  • Your cumulative number of hours played;
  • Your favorite genres;
  • The month you played the most (spoiler: it will probably be May);
  • Your favorite game (with number of hours).

Using this readily available data (more than navigating the Switch’s menus), I learned that I spent 65% of the time on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Which is hardly surprising given the immense content of this exclusive which left its mark in May.

The Nintendo portal ends with the forecasts for 2024. Three games are mentioned: Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Princess Peach: Showtime! And Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. Will there be an official Switch 2? We want to believe it.
