Youth gang accused – 74 crimes and over 40,000 euros in loot

It is the next case of shocking juvenile crime that will be heard in the Salzburg regional court from April 8th to 10th: A six-member youth gang – four Austrians, an Afghan and a Russian between the ages of 15 and 17 – is said to have committed 74 crimes in the previous year. The public prosecutor’s office lists the crimes on 25 pages, the majority of which relate to burglaries. The manner can be described as brazen: the young people broke into 14 swimming pools in Flachgau, Tennengau, the city of Salzburg and Upper Austria between June and July – sometimes in twos, sometimes in threes.
