Forbes has just unveiled the list of the highest paid YouTubers of the year 2021, and the first is none other than the most important philanthropist of the platform Jimmy Donaldson, alias MrBeast.
With household names like Jake Paul and Ryan Kaji, the list of the 10 highest paid Youtubers of 2021 ranges from 16 to 54 million dollars, with the total reaching $300 million. In first place, of course, we find MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson. MrBeast is one of the biggest names in the streaming community and is also one of the most popular YouTube content creators in the world.
MrBeast has rapidly gained popularity around the world since launching his YouTube channel in 2012, and it now has a whopping 88.5 million subscribers. The 23-year-old YouTuber first started like many at the time by gaming videos about games like Call of Duty on Minecraft, before finally dedicating his career to philanthropy. In 2021, Forbes estimates his earnings at $54 million on the platform.
After gaining popularity with a few viral videos, MrBeast notably joined the competition to make PewDiePie the channel with the most subscribers on YouTube. MrBeast also launched a virtual restaurant in 2020, MrBeast Burger. Beast Burger is nothing more than an app and menu that allows fans to order MrBeast-branded meals from 1,600 restaurants nationwide that have partnered with it to fulfill orders.

Some of MrBeast’s most popular videos include him spending 50 hours buried alive, count to 100,000 continuously for 44 hours or even put 100 million small Orbeez marbles in his friend’s garden. However, most of his videos in his later years show him giving away a large portion of his journals to people in need.
Indeed, one can for example discover it buying entire stores then donating the products to charities, or open free stores where no money is needed. To make videos ever more impressive, MrBeast revealed that he reinvests almost all of his income into content. The Donaldson’s monthly spending on content creation is said to be around $4 million per month, bringing its total annual video budget to $48 million.
