Good news for YouTube TV users on iOS, who like to multitask.

Google finally allows them to use the valuable PiP function (for Picture in Picture).

YouTube TV: PiP also on iOS

Google is currently rolling out an update for YouTube TV on iOS that finally lets iPhone and iPad owners take advantage of the valuable PiP feature. Note that the latter is however reserved for those who have an Apple terminal evolving on iOS 15.

To put it simply, with this new “picture in picture” function (Picture in Picture, therefore), subscribers to the service can continue to watch YouTube TV without necessarily having to stay on said application. Simply swipe up on the video to return to the home screen, while keeping the YouTube TV video as a thumbnail in a corner of the screen.

Convenient, for example, to watch an event and discuss it simultaneously on Twitter or any other social network. Note that the PiP function of YouTube on iOS is still reserved only for YouTube Premium subscribers, who can try (until April 8) this feature still under development at Google.
