The developers nevertheless provide an important clarification: all current versions of YouTube Vanced already installed on Android smartphones and tablets will continue to function normally, until they become obsolete in a few years at least. This decision is nevertheless likely to cringe fans who use the application to overcome the limits imposed on the free version of YouTube.
The reason is as simple as expected: the developers of Vanced received a formal notice from Google ordering them to remove all links and references to its video service, both through the texts and the logo. It is also rather surprising that Google did not react earlier to the shortfall, Vanced being one of the most popular applications on Android.
However, it is not the only one and other alternatives already exist, in particular uYouPlus which is intended for users of Apple terminals. It would not be surprising if they too received a missive from Google in the coming weeks.
