“You’ve grown !” : Harrison Ford surprised by Ke Huy Quan (Half-Moon) at the preview of Indiana Jones 5, the sequence which should touch the fans

Like Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford travels the world to promote the 5th opus of the adventures of the famous archaeologist. At the US premiere, the actor was surprised by a comedian well known to fans of the franchise.

The wait is almost over for Indiana Jones fans! On June 28, The Dial of Destiny hits screens, marking Harrison Ford’s final appearance as the famed archaeologist.

After a presentation with great fanfare at the last Cannes Film Festival, James Mangold’s film continues its promotional tour in the United States. At its American premiere in Los Angeles, Harrison Ford was surprised in the middle of an interview by Ke Huy Quan, the actor who played Half Moon in The Temple of Doom in 1984.

Hopping like a mischievous child, the actor is then embraced by the interpreter of Indy, who integrates him into the interview he was giving on the red carpet. “You’ve grown !”, throws a hilarious Ford. A beautiful image, reminiscent of that of the D23 in October 2022. During this event organized by Disney, Ke Huy Quan had already found Harrison Ford, almost 40 years after The Temple of Doom.

Meanwhile, the unforgettable Demi-Lune was crowned with the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once. A real renaissance for the actor, now 51 years old.

“I still remember the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom launch party”said the comedian on the red carpet of the Dial of Destiny. “I was 12 and had so much fun”he added.

As for Harrison Ford, he said he was very proud and very happy for the Oscar awarded to Ke Huy Quan. “I’m very happy for him, he’s a great guy. He was a great actor when he was a kid and still is today, I’m really very happy for him”underlined the comedian of 80 years.

Steven Spielberg, director of the first 4 installments of the franchise, was also present at the Californian preview. On stage, he surprised the audience by announcing the presence of the iconic composer of the saga, John Williams, who had come specially to direct the musical orchestra.

A little live concert by the maestro, what more could the adventurer’s fans ask for?

As a reminder, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be released in theaters on June 28. It will take us to 1969. After spending more than ten years teaching at Hunter College in New York, the esteemed Dr. Jones, professor of archeology, is about to retire and enjoy peaceful days.

Everything changes after the surprise visit of his goddaughter Helena Shaw, who is in search of a rare artifact that her father entrusted to Indy years before: the famous Archimedes dial, a relic which would have the power to locate the cracks temporal.

As an accomplished con artist, Helena steals the object and leaves the country in a hurry to sell it to the highest bidder. Indy has no choice but to chase after him. He pulls out his fedora and his leather jacket for one last trip.
