Yu Gi Oh! Duel Links: a new type of summon on the way

As you have already read, this weekend the event took place in Japan Yu Gi Oh! Duel Monsters: The Legend of Duelist Quarter Centurywhich was the scene of multiple announcements for the license, including the compilation of games Yu Gi Oh! Early Days Collection. Konami also slipped in some information that should please gamers of Yu Gi Oh! Duel Linksnamely the imminent arrival of a new type of summon.

Yu Gi Oh Duel Links Maximum 02 05 02 2024

Indeed, Yu Gi Oh! Duel Links will host the summon on February 28 Maximum ! If you are not aware of the evolution of the license, the series Yu Gi Oh! SEVENS introduced this new summoning method in 2020, which is specific to Rush Duelbut was not present at the launch of this format last September in the game.

It consists of a collection of three cards of the same namea power plant with a Max Attack once they are assembled (mostly level 10, but not always), one on the left having [L] in its title (for “left”) and one on the right with [R] (for “right”). The cards are part of the Main Deck And This is a special summon from the hand without any other condition than possessing the three parts of the creature, sending to Graveyard all the Monsters who would already be on the ground and only in a position ofAttack. THE Maximum mode is then activated, which generally allows the use of the different effects and applies theMax Attack for the damage. In this state, the Monster then has no value of Defense and is treated as a single entitybut all three cards can also be used independently, although they usually have nothing to stand out like that.

For now, three Maximum Monsters were confirmed, namely Tenteiryūju Yggdrago (the very first in the anime, summoned by Nail Saionji on an epic theme named Adventwhose seiyuu is Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, well known as the voice of Kirito In SAO), Chōmakishin Magnum Overlord And Harpy Ladies. The cards of the latter will also be offered.

If you play on PC, Yu Gi Oh! Legacy of the Duelist is currently sold €17.99 at the house of Gamesplanet and its improved version Link Evolution cost €35.99.
